With the advancement of intelligent agriculture, tractor self-driving retrofit technology has made significant progress recently. A variety of highly adaptable and easy-to-install self-driving solutions have been launched, enabling a large number of older tractors to upgrade to intelligent systems and revitalize them.
Currently available self-driving tractor systems are compatible with various domestic and international agricultural machinery brands, automating the entire farming, management, and harvesting process. Utilizing Beidou high-precision navigation technology, the system achieves an accuracy of ±2.5 cm, meeting the demands of precision planting. It maintains excellent results across flat, sloping, and paddy fields, and at both ultra-low and high speeds. In complex planting scenarios like intercropping corn and soybeans and transplanting rice seedlings, the self-driving system precisely controls row and plant spacing, effectively increasing crop yields.
To facilitate the retrofit of older tractors, relevant companies have introduced convenient installation solutions. The new generation of self-driving systems features a highly integrated design with a simple wiring harness, requiring only a single connection line. Installation and commissioning can be completed in 20 minutes, significantly reducing the difficulty and cost of retrofits. Even old agricultural machinery over 20 years old can be transformed into intelligent "new machines" by adding an autonomous driving system, enabling automated navigation, route planning, and precise operation.

For ease of operation, the autonomous driving system features a newly designed app interface, providing clear instructions and real-time visibility into operational status, making it easy for even novice operators to quickly master the system. The system supports Android and features built-in support for various operation line types, including straight lines, curves, strips, and diagonals. It can adapt to various land shapes and automatically generate optimal operation plans, effectively utilizing every inch of land. The system also supports fast switching between manual and automatic operation and features a wireless control panel that can be mounted anywhere on the machine or held in hand for operation, meeting the needs of various operational scenarios.
The autonomous driving system also addresses signal challenges in remote areas. By providing cloud base station services and satellite-based positioning services, it provides nationwide high-precision signal coverage, enabling smooth operation even in areas with weak signal strength, such as slopes, forests, woodlands, and deserts. It's estimated that tractors equipped with autonomous driving systems can increase operating efficiency by over 30% and reduce labor costs by 75%. This can also reduce the use of pesticides and fertilizers, achieving a win-win situation for both cost savings and increased efficiency, as well as environmental protection.
With the rapid adoption of autonomous driving tractor retrofit technology, it's estimated that by the end of 2025, over 200,000 tractors nationwide will have been retrofitted with autonomous driving features. This will provide strong support for the development of intelligent agriculture and propel my country's agricultural production towards precision, intelligence, and efficiency.
