During the busy farming season, multi-regional tractor service teams shuttle across different regions, providing farmers with plowing, sowing, and harvesting services, becoming a "mobile force" ensuring the smooth progress of agricultural production across the country.
Currently, during the wheat harvest season in Northeast China, a multi-regional tractor service team from Zhoukou City, Henan Province, is busy in Wuchang City, Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. Team leader Liu Jianjun explained that their team has 20 tractors and conducts multi-regional operations each year based on the farming season in different regions. "Starting in April, we work in Henan, then move to Hubei in May, Anhui in June, and the Northeast in July. We operate for over eight months a year, serving thousands of farmers."
In Dujia Town, Wuchang City, farmer Zhao Chunsheng's 15-acre wheat field was ready for harvest, and Liu Jianjun's service team arrived just in time. "In previous years, finding harvesters and tractors during the busy farming season was a struggle. Now, with the cross-regional operation team, we can get service right at our doorstep with just a phone call, eliminating the need to search for equipment ourselves. It's incredibly convenient," said Zhao Chunsheng. The service team is not only highly efficient, but also charges reasonable fees. Harvesting and plowing wheat saves over 20 yuan per acre compared to finding equipment on our own.

To ensure the smooth operation of cross-regional operations, local agricultural and rural departments have provided significant support. In Heilongjiang Province, local authorities have established cross-regional operation service stations, providing accommodation, repairs, and refueling services for the service teams. They have also opened green channels for cross-regional operations to ensure smooth passage for agricultural machinery transport vehicles. "At the service stations, we can get our equipment repaired free of charge and access local farming season information, helping us better plan our operations," said Liu Jianjun.
Cross-regional operations not only address the shortage of agricultural machinery during the busy farming season but also increase the income of agricultural machinery operators. Liu Jianjun explained that each of his tractors earns over 100,000 yuan annually from cross-regional operations, over 30,000 yuan more than local operations, significantly increasing the incomes of the team members. "Nowadays, more and more agricultural machinery operators are joining the cross-regional operation team. Not only can we earn money, but we can also contribute to agricultural production in various regions, which gives us a great sense of accomplishment."
As the cross-regional operation model continues to mature, the scope of services is also expanding. Today, the cross-regional operation service team not only provides basic services such as plowing and harvesting, but also offers a "full-process management" service, providing farmers with agricultural machinery services from sowing to harvesting. "With full-process management, farmers don't have to worry about farming; they just need to wait for the harvest.
We will take care of every step." Liu Jianjun said that in the future, they plan to expand the service team and add more agricultural machinery and equipment to provide more farmers with high-quality cross-regional operation services, contributing to a bumper grain harvest across the country.
